Mental health awareness month

​My favorite month of the year! May. It’s my birthday month, things get greener outside, and everyone starts moving to summer vibes. The best vibes, in my opinion.  I also think it’s the perfect month to talk about mental health. Because most of us, if not all, have struggled internally at some point. Everyone shows it differently and everyone handles it differently. All we can do as humans, is be kind. 

So, talking mental health…A lot of times when we are feeling down, angry or confused we forget what our purpose is. Or if we even have a purpose. Has anyone been to this point?

Have y’all heard of the “Before I Die I Want To” walls? They have been a thing for awhile now and I think we should start a virtual wall of this! Below is a link to more info on them…

​We get very caught up in our day to day activities and work that I think we lose track of the real important things in life. The things that truly matter to us. The things that give us a purpose to stay, to keep going.

​Mental health is not a joke to me. It’s not something I take lightly. I’ve been in those dark places.  So, I see you and I understand you. Your feelings are validated and someone always wants to help. 

We, myself included, could all be a little better on how we treat people. How we speak to them. How we respect them. It can be a simple “hey, always here if you need me!” Or “I think you’re doing great, keep going!” So on that note, I think you’re doing great and I’m always here for anyone who is struggling and needs to talk or someone to listen. So keep going!
